    Upgraded Brush Set
    Replaces: Coleman Powermate P/N's: 0050439, 0050439SRV
    This is an upgraded aftermarket direct-drop-in replacement brush set that fits certain models Coleman Powermate generators.  We re-tooled these brushes to address some of the more common failure modes associated with the OEM brushes and to improve and maximize the wear life of the brushes.  We incorporated every trick and upgrade we could think of into these brushes - this should be the last set you will ever have to buy for your generator!
    This set includes

    brushes!  Be aware of other sellers that are selling only

    brush - why would you ever want to replace only one brush???
    Improvements:
    1. We've replaced the OEM carbon mater
    ial
    used in the original brushes with
    a
    copper-impregnated material typically used in only the highest-end
    applications.
    2. We've used a heavier all-copper shunt to improve current carrying and lower
    the voltage drop through the brush.
    3. We've replaced the "crimped" connection to the copper shunt on the OEM
    brushes with a secure soldered connection, lowering running temperatures
    and improving over-all reliability.
    4. We've dialed in the spring-rate to apply the most appropriate brush pressure to
    maximize brush life while preventing brush "skipping" and arcing issues.
    5.
    All of this results in a longer-lasting, more reliable brush system that is much
    lower in resistance
    , which means
    better
    residual voltage, lower running
    temperatures and longer life.
