    Description

    ZIRCON:
Bubin, Astore District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, Dimensions: 3.2 x 2.5 x 2.0cm, miniature. One large and two small translucent to slightly gemmy. merlot-red Zircon crystals are hosted in a black and white, salt and peppered textures schist matrix for nice contrast from this classic Pakistan locality. The largest crystal measures a full 2cm across and has well developed faces and edges and the other two measure 8 and 6mm across. All of them have gemmy areas that accentuate their red color so that they just glow on the contrasting schist matrix. They are complete and do show some small areas where the crystals interrupted growth from growing in the schist matrix. The piece sits perfectly for display! As an added bonus, the Zircons fluoresce a vivid mustard-yellow under short wave ultraviolet light (second photo)! Buyer pays USPS Priority Mail shipping and any sales tax.
