Grateful Dead !!! ... ' Steal Your Face ! ' -- in Black !!  Quintessential !! G.D. Shirt ! - from the Late-1990's Era !
Grateful Dead Fans ... Wow !!  Really no need at all to describe this one, as it does ' Just-Fine ' describing itself - all on its own.  Wow .....  For lack of any fancier a way to say it -- this Shirt here is just about as good an example possible of the Ultimate ! Symbol in Rock & Roll !! -- the Bob Thomas & Owsley Stanley Early 1970's designed " Steal Your Face ! ".  This one is right up there with Bertha ! ... and, you could even actually argue that it might even be above her.  At least in my Home, it's easily safe to say that there are far more Steal Your Face ! stickers plastered - just about everywhere ( no " just about " either - Ha ! ) ... versus Bertha stickers, for what that's worth.  Classic.  But ... with this Shirt here, there is indeed more important info - as this one is actually a lot rarer than it may initially seem ... and here indeed is the full-scoop ! >>> Firstly, this is a Late-1990's issue of this G.D. Classic... featuring a Steal Your Face ! right on that would-be shirt pocket area - in the Quintessential ! & Classic T-Shirt form.  However, when these were sold in 1995 - during what ended up being the Final / Last Touring Year of the Band - a Shirt similar to this one was issued, that looks almost exact.  But, there was a ' Date ' ( 1995 ) printed in white below the Steal Your Face ! -- which, at least in the opinion of myself, was a little out of place - since where it was located, it sort of distracted from the design image itself - even on black.  So ..... eventually, on the " later issued " versions -- the ' Date ' was finally removed ... and this Beauty ! here is indeed one of those !!  Seriously rare here today, as this was issued over Two-Decades Ago !  And, there is one other detail too - which is totally vital.  So, for Part 2 ! >>> and Secondly, these later issued ' Black ' T-Shirts were manufactured on Fruit Of The Loom ( Heavy Cotton ! ) Shirts - which was indeed the ' Top Of The Line ' T-Shirt Brand / Make by Fruit Of The Loom !  Who, as we all know - is quite the fine ! maker of T-Shirts when it comes to their high-quality brand lines.  So, my point being - with this specific ( & Classic !! ) design ... this one here IS ! indeed as good as it gets - visually ... of All-Time !  I wish you could reach out - touch & feel this one too, as it has one of those Thick - yet still Way-Comfy ! feels ... you know, the feel of a Collectible Rock & Roll Tee that will be around with You ! forever, and will become a Good Ol' Friend ! ... and yes, in the case of this one -- a Grate ! one.  One of the Coolest ! Dead Tees hands-down, and yet - just so plain & simple ... sometimes, just like we like them.  Enjoy !!!!!
