    A
    very interesting and scarce fire alarm device invented by Willard C Messick for the Fyr-Larm Co. of Syracuse, NY.   This is a 16" long cylinder filled with a gas that expands when the temperature reaches a critical level. In excellent condition and includes something I have never seen on this device and that is an aluminum amplifier horn in very good condition, one small bend on the lip. Very rare thus.  Has never been in a fire so I assume it is still full.
