plastic
fuel tanks on generators made by Coleman Powermate.
Here's the deal:
Coleman Powermate originally used the high-quality made-in-USA metal valve we have listed here.  They then switched to a lower-cost plastic valve and started substituting it for the metal valves.  We've seen quite a few issues with the plastic valves, and time has proven that this was not a good decision!  So, we have "resurrected" the original high quality metal valve and made it available once again.  As far as the Sealing Bushing goes, they had a couple of variations of those made out of a standard black rubber.  They later replaced those with a longer-lasting part made from Viton, which
holds up significantly better when exposed to ethanol and most bio-fuels... a very good decision on their part!  We are only offering the Viton part here, since that is what Powermate currently recommends and supplies as the substitute to earlier parts.
VERY IMPORTANT:
We are selling these parts as a set - or separately ... you will need to select what you want from the drop-down box (located above the price box, near the top) when you order it.  Naturally, it is a little cheaper to order them as a set versus separately, but some folks just need one or the other, so we're giving you all that option.
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT:
These fit into a 33/64" diameter hole (0.516" if you are fortunate enough to own a pair of calipers).  Not all Coleman Powermate fuel tanks use this valve!!!  There are some that use a smaller hole and others that use a larger hole.  Check your parts list or the hole-size of your fuel tank before ordering.  Also, compare your valve to the ones we have pictured... if it's different, this probably isn't the right one for your unit.
