DRESDEN CARL THEIME MARIE ANTOINETTE PATTERN PEDESTAL COMPOTE - AS FOUND

Description

Up for auction is this wonderful Dresden Germany Carl Theime marked pedestal compote in the popular Marie Antoinette pattern.  Unfortunately, the piece has been professionally repaired along one edge (see last 2 pictures).  The reticulated piece features the hand painted multi colored floral groupings throughout with the "MA" spelled out in flowers in the center.  There are raised heavy gold designs and edges are trimmed in double gold.  Measures about 6 1/4 inches in diameter and 3 1/8 inches high.  Fully marked on the bottom, in blue, with the Carl Theime Dresden "FS" logo.  Also marked "Dec: 300 Depose".  These marks date the piece to the later part of the 1800's.  Beside the formerly listed repair, the piece is in excellent condition with clear and bright colors.  No crazing.  A great and highly desirable piece offered with NO RESERVE!!
