    Description

    Donath Levinsohn Dresden Hand Painted Blue & Floral Quatrefoil Cup C. 1886-1891
    Pretty porcelain quatrefoil shaped demitasse cup and saucer. With hand painted flowers in pink, red and yellow over white panels and gold gilt fishscales over blue panels. With gold gilt scrollwork designs framing each panel and along the edge. Marked on the bottom in blue with Rapier swords over an S. This mark was used by P Donath &  Louis Levinsohn / Lowinson in Tiefenfurt, Silesia between 1886 and 1891.
    The cup is warped from the firing in the kiln. Also has some minor wear to the gilding, but no chips or cracks.
    The cup measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 1 7/8 inches tall.
    The saucer measures approximately 4 inches wide.
    This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
