    Description

    Carl Thieme Dresden Hand Painted Battle Scene Reticulated Oval Dish 1891 - 1901
    Beautiful porcelain reticulated oval dish. Nicely hand painted with two men on horses battling. One is pointing a gun at the other. There is a windmill and another rider in the background. Has small hand painted flowers around the scene in red, purple, blue and yellow. Gold gilded highlights to the reticulated edge. Marked on the bottom with a T over an X/crossed mark. This mark was used by Carl Thieme in Dresden between 1891 and 1901.
    Measures approximately 9 1/4 inches long x 6 3/4 inches wide.
    Minor wear to the gilding, mostly along the edge, but otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
    This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
