    Manufacturer:
    Betty's Grandpa Hibler (we don't know his first name) for L. S. Ayres Department Store (Indianapolis) around 1930
    Condition:
    USED. Ribbon faded, painted wood is worn, nicked, chipped in places. Taped on story on pink card. See photos, ask questions.
    Notes:
    Each blue painted wooden sandal is about 6¾" long by about 2½" wide by about 1¼" high with two ribbon straps tacked on. The card reads
    Betty's Grandpa Hibler mayde thes shoes around 1930. He had to help decorate Ayres Department Store windows where they were used. He made each of us girls a pair.
    If we read this right, he was doing window dressing at the Ayres department store, the kids saw the shoes he was making (for manikins?) and wanted their own pairs, and this is a pair of those? We think?
