Description

This is an Antique Sireno No. 7 Firetruck Siren with a 1908 Patent Date. This item came from the estate of a late Santa Monica, California fireman who was an avid collector. It measures approx. 6 1/4” in large diameter x 3 1/2" in small diameter x 6 1/4” deep. It weighs in at a hefty almost 7 pounds.
I am selling this antique siren “as is” and as a collectible.
Also included, as my gift to you, is an 8” x 11” sepia-tone vintage firehouse photograph from the same estate, see photo #7.
Here’s everything the nameplate says:
"Trade Mark, Sireno No. 7, 6 Volts, Pat. Feb. 4/08, Pat. July 28/08, Staten Island, New York U.S.A., Serial No. 26260”. I was unable to test this unit, but the “fan” within turns freely and easily when pushed.
This siren would make an awesome addition to any home’s decor, man cave, rat rod, or collection, and would make a great gift, too! It would also make an interesting & decorative conversation piece. The pictures above show the condition of the actual item you will receive, as I don't use stock photography. I have no other accessories, manuals or extras that are not pictured.
This antique shows expected wear consistent with age. It is old and it looks old!
The screw that holds the round cover on is not present, nor is the mounting arm, and one hard rubber part within appears to be cracked.
Basically, it looks as it does in the photos…
Once again, to be absolutely clear: I am selling this antique firetruck siren "as is”, and as a collectible,
because
it might need repair to work as originally intended.
I have packed it safely in a box within a box.
